Since 1927, three generations of winegrowers have succeeded each other at the Chateau Aydie. The Laplace family has a place in the appellation’s history, holding the title “Owner - Harvester” in AOP Madiran and AOP Pacherenc du Vic Bilh. Today Marie, Jean Luc, François and Bernard Laplace, run the Chateau d’Aydie and work for the sustainability of the vineyard, as well as to promote the appellation.

Their vineyard extends over 58 hectares and about a dozen cuvees are made every year. The ocean climate and nearby Pyrenees mean winter and spring are both temperate and wet, with a warm summer and a very sunny autumn. These climatic conditions together with the widely diverse terroirs allow us to develop wines with characteristics richly typical of the region.
