Drumshanbo - Gunpowder Irish Gin
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is an oriental-inspired spirit from The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim that’s setting the world alight. Taking its name from one of the signature botanicals, slowly dried Gunpowder tea, the recipe also includes lime, lemon and grapefruit. This will work best with Mediterranean tonic water.
Gunpowder Tea is a green tea that has been slowly dried, the delicate leaves then carefully rolled into shiny pellets. The flavour is bold and bright with a slight spicy freshness.

A creator of new recipes, an inventor, an experimenter – PJ dreamed of building his own distillery, but not just any distillery. The location was crucial – it had to be wild, un-manicured, in the heart of rural Ireland. A place of curiosity & inspiration, surrounded by nature, immersed in rich history. He discovered the beautiful village of Drumshanbo, on the shores of Lough Allen, at the foothills of Sliabh an Iarainn (The Iron Mountain), and PJ knew he had found the location for his distillery.
