India Pale Ale

The India Pale Ales, often known as IPAs, are far from a recent addition to the beer family. It dates back to the 18th century when breweries from the UK were importing into India but found that in the helms of the ships they got a tad cooked and then the style of adding in extra hops to ensure that they were as fresh in India as they were back home. Now we see some Double and Triple IPAs too.
