Perched on a wave washed, rocky headland on the most southerly part of Islay, the Ardbeg Distillery is one of the most atmospheric (and remote) of all the Scottish Distilleries. Ardbeg stands alone as the most delicate and complex of all the Islay Malts. It does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the malt. This allows for the complexity and sweetness to express itself in a surprisingly subtle way. Balance is at the heart of Ardbeg's uniqueness.
