"One of the most exciting white wines you will try this year. It is using two local white grapes, muscat and albanella which have had just a touch of skin contact to help give it more of a punch on the aromatic front. We are talking yellow apples, pear juice and baked grapefruit with lime sherbet. Refreshing on the palate with the acidity with a long finish!"

--------THE PRODUCER--------

Arianna Occhipinti

Arianna Occhipinti winery is located on the island of Sicily off the coast of southern Italy. It was started just over 12 years ago by the beautiful young lady of the same name. Arianna had a mission to make wines that were for the soul and of Sicily, wines that could transport a person to the special place on which they came from. All of here wines are natural and organic.

--------THE GRAPE--------

Muscat

Muscat or Moscato, whichever you prefer, is the highly aromatic white grape varietal behind some of the most iconic wines of Europe. It can be either dry or lusciously sweet in Alsace, France where it is one of the 'noble grapes' or it can be a fortified sweet wine in the region of Beaumes de Venise. Or in Italy as the fizzy and sweet Moscato d'Asti.

--------THE REGION--------

Sicily

Sicily is the island off the south coast of Italy. It is famous for being home to Mt Etna - now a region that is producing some of Sicily's most exciting red and white wines. Overall, Sicily is home to a raft of interesting whites and reds that are light and interesting to fuller in body and age-worthy.
