"
Oily and buttery on the nose, reminiscent of rum and raisin ice cream. The palate is an explosion of sweetness. A moderately long finish which becomes fruity with custard and cigar smoke."
--------THE PRODUCER--------
Laphroaig
It is written that from the central courtyard of the distillery, one can see the surrounding buildings, some of which pre-date the 'official' beginning in 1815, when Laphroaig was still a farm with the distillery an illicit sideline.
