ABOUT THE PRODUCER

On Tuscany’s coastal edge, Ornellaia stands as one of Bolgheri’s defining estates: a place where Mediterranean light, ancient soils and cooling sea breezes shape wines of depth, polish and unmistakable origin.

Founded in 1981 and now under the stewardship of the Frescobaldi family, the estate encompasses around 192 hectares, including its vineyards, winery and the neighbouring Bellaria property, just north of Bolgheri. This patchwork of sites gives Ornellaia its range of expression, from the structure and aromatic lift of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to the generosity of Merlot and the seasoning of Petit Verdot.

Long recognised as a driving force of the Super Tuscan movement, Ornellaia continues to capture the elegance and intensity that have made Bolgheri one of Italy’s most compelling fine-wine addresses.
