Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot is a red grape varietal that is almost always used as a blending grape. This is due to Petit Verdot giving colour and aromas to other reds boosting the overall blend. It is usually, and most famously, blended into the wines of Bordeaux - or with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blends. As such you will see Petit Verdot planted almost everywhere that Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot are across the world.
