Punset winery is located in the region of Piemonte in northwestern Italy. The name Punset derives from the literal translation of 'beautiful hill' or 'peak' which was used by the Count of Neive to describe the land that the winery is now based on. The vineyards have been in the Marcarino family's ownership since a long distant time. It wasn't until the early 1960s that they started to produce commerically though, previously it was all for friends and family. In the 1980s, Marina, Renzo's daughter, took over and converted the property into a completely organic operation.
