TASTING NOTES

The deep red colour of this cuvée sets the tone for the tasting: elegance and intensity. Beneath an spicy layer (nutmeg and toasted bread), the equally elegant bouquet unveils sustained, overripe dark and red fruit scents and earthy aromas. After a chewy attack, the ample, rounded structure unfolds, culminating in a long balanced finish. A wine that reveals all the richness of this exceptional terroir.

AGEING

Can be enjoyed while young (2-3 years after vintage) but has cellaring potential for quite a few years more.

--------THE PRODUCER--------

Sichel

Ever since it was set up as a buying office in Bordeaux in 1883, Maison Sichel has remained, first and foremost, a family business.  Since that time, seven generations of the Sichel family have succeeded one another at the company’s helm.

Over the years, it has flourished to a trully international dimension.

--------THE GRAPE--------

Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc

--------THE REGION--------

Sauterne

The famous sweet wine sub-region of Bordeaux.
