Vines planted in 1996, facing south by southeast. Surface area : 0.30 hectare
The steep slopes of this plot feature soils of marl, sand, and limestone.
Highly characteristic of Savigny-les-Beaune, the terroir of Aux Vergelesses features high exposure to the sun and wind to create truly exceptional wines.
The wine, grown on a band of light soil, is elegant, balanced, and complex. The northerly winds help to preserve a beautiful energy and tension within the mature grapes.
The wine is full-bodied with concentration, power and a touch of limestone, beautiful balance, racy acidity, lifted aromas of fresh baked bread and brioche with a touch of oak.
Good now and will develop superbly over the next 5 years.
