96/100 from New Zealand's first and only Master Sommelier, Cameron Douglas (V 2013):

"A distinctive and very complex bouquet beginning with aromas of a developed autolysis suggesting scents of butter brioche and fresh oats. There’s a toasty complexity with a whisper of marmite then scents of strawberry and peach. On the palate - very elegant and fine with a sophisticated coarse-silk textured mousse, flavours of leesy autolysis and a fine salty quality sticks to the palate. Flavours of stone fruit, some strawberry and baked apple reappear adding depth. Balanced and weighty with a toasty and fruit centric quality. Drinking perfectly now and will continue to do so for two to three years. A beautiful wine, elegant and sophisticated. I am charmed."

97 points (5 Gold Stars) by Candice Chow of Raymond Chan Wine Reviews (V 2013):

"Bright, pale yellow with a gold hue, even colour throughout. The bubbles are fine, slow and persistent. The nose is immediately full with rich aromas of toasted brioche, croissant, double cream, underlying preserved lemon, stonefruit and a hint of nut. Full-bodied, richness filled the palate, lemon sherbet, preserved lemon, dried pineapple and stonefruit have a vibrant and intense core, unfolding nougat, toasted brioche and pastry. Thanks to the bright acidity, the flavours are concentrated, rich yet vibrant; a light layer of chalky minerals contributes to elegance and the mouthfeel. The acid tension drives a long, lingering finish. This opulent Prestige Champagne shows vitality, vibrancy, and a satisfying, long, fresh finish. Match with kingfish and butter-poached scampi over the next 8 years."
