The first of two new bottlings of Smögen for our Decadent Drams series. This is a 10 year old, 2014 Smögen that matured for just over 8 years in a 1st fill Maderia hogshead, before we got our mitts on it and re-racked it into a knackered old refill hogshead, to round it off gently and emphasise that delicious Smögen-ness. It's big, peaty and classically Smögen, but with an enigmatic Maderia twist... We bottled this with a couple of degrees reduction at 57.1%.
