Vintage Notes (2022): The 2022 vintage began with a mild winter, followed by good weather in March and April. While there was some rain in May and June, the growing season stabilized. The harvest for Barbera grapes began in the second half of September, and the vintage is considered to have produced grapes of excellent quality, resulting in intense and elegant aromas and well-balanced wines.

Tasting Notes:

  • Color: A deep ruby red with typical purple reflections.

  • Aroma: The nose is ample, elegant, and fresh. You can expect rich scents of small red fruits, violets, and ripe grapes, with a pleasant hint of spices.

  • Palate: The wine is fine and fresh on the palate, with a medium-structured to full body. It is very well-balanced, with a soft, silky acidity and a long, spicy finish.

Winemaking and Aging:

  • Grape: 100% Barbera.

  • Aging: The wine is aged for 14 months in medium-sized oak casks (2,500-4,000 liters). This aging process contributes to its well-balanced structure and softens the acidity.

Food Pairings:

This wine is a versatile food partner, and its balanced acidity and spicy notes make it a great match for a variety of dishes. Recommended pairings include:

  • Pasta and risotto dishes

  • Roasted meats

  • Cheeses

  • Cured meat
