"As the wine opens out in glass aromas and flavours of white fleshed fruits and chalky soil mineral qualities begin to emerge. Flavours of peach and apple, some lemon and white apricot are mixed with spice and earthy attributes. Medium+ acid line, dry, balanced and well made finishing with a fine lees texture and breadth. Best from 2024 through 2029+. Opens out nicely after 30 minutes, don’t chill more than 10 Celsius"

ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
Fincas de Azabache is a state-of-the-art cooperative, founded in December 1956 located in the town of Aldeanueva de Ebro, some 59km SE from Logroño. The Bodegas has 502 hectares of vines selected from the best family estates or ‘fincas’, grown in a continental climate between 350-600 metres above sea with both Atlantic and Mediterranean influences at the foot of Mount Yerga, which is at the heart of the driest sub-region of Rioja Oriental. Their soils are alluvial and ferrous clay, that provide the wines with unique terroir traits.
