Matured for 18 years in 100% sherry seasoned casks, predominantly first fill, this 18 year old expression from the new Glenrothes Solera range is an elegant and complex dram. Sweet aroma of vanilla pods, ripe pear, orange oil and almonds. The pear and vanilla notes develop on to the palate with sweet ginger and hints of delicate rose water. The finish is sweet, spicy and slightly peppery.

Glenrothes Distillery

The Glenrothes [glen-rothis] distillery is situated in the quaint village of Rothes in the heart of Speyside. The Glenrothes style is soft and smooth with notes of caramel / toffee, spice, vanilla and delicate citrus apparent throughout their expressions. The new 'Soleo' range is matured entirely in Sherry seasoned oak casks. The collection takes its name from the traditional soleo sun-drying process which dries the grapes to aid the creation of the finest sherry.
