The Sassoalloro, from the Jacopo Biondi Santi winery, is the flagship of the family who with courage and innovation have revisited the giant Brunello di Montalcino, created by their ancestor Ferruccio, to make it a modern product closer to market needs. Thus began the adventure of the latest generation of Biondi Santi with the purchase of the castle of Montepò, in the renowned Tuscan plain south of Grosseto, a powerful and elegant structure and place of inspiration for the writer and playwright Graham Greene thanks to the heavenly view of the Maremma, whose territory has a great vocation for the production of top-level wines. Jacopo began his project in 1991, the son of a great vocation for the subtle and meticulous art of winemaking with Sassoalloro, produced from the same grapes as Brunello.
