Klein Constantia
The famous house of the Constantia region and one of the oldest estates in all of South Africa. Klein Constantia's vineyards are found among an ancient site in the foothills of Constantiaberg with incredible views across Constantia Valley and False Bay. It has been pumping out some of South Africa's finest wines since 1685. Over the course of the 18th century the 'Vin de Constance' sweet wine gained a reputation across Europe and was highly sought after. It is thanks to the Klein Constantia winery to putting South Africa on the wine-map.

It is historically home in Burgundy where it produces a more refined, mineral and poised wines all up and down the Cote de Beaune and in Chablis. Constantia is the most historically important region is all of South Africa which has been making wines since the early 17th century. The most famous aspect of Constantia is that it is home to the sweet wines made of Muscat from the Klein Constantia winery - these were the wines that helped to put South Africa on the map. It is surrounded by the ocean so gets cooling influences which makes it the perfect place for white grape varieties - especially aromatic grapes.
