ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Domaine Marcel Deiss is located in Bergheim, a small village nestling in the heart of the wine region of Alsace. Managed today by Jean-Michel Deiss who was born into a long-established family of wine growers, the domaine consists of 26 hectares of hillside vineyards spread over 9 communes and approximately 20 kilometres.

In the wide range of the parcels (around 200), Jean-Michel tries to express the three factors that make a wine complete: the grape variety, the vintage and the terroir. In this way, Jean-Michel uses the ancient techniques of Alsatian wine tradition, without weeding or chemical fertilizers. His commitment and personal integrity make wines of unique distinction, originality, and authenticity.
