Nakano’s classic umeshu (plum wine).
A balance of initial sweetness and refreshing tartness.
Umeshu (plum wine), is a liqueur made by steeping ume fruit (Japanese plums) in spirits. It is best enjoyed as an aperitif or dessert wine.
Nakano’s umeshu is made uses only a variety of ume called nanko ume, from Wakayama Prefecture. Nanko ume are considered the best for making umeshu, due to their rich flesh and gentle peach-like aroma.
Serve umeshu chilled, on the rocks, or with a splash of soda.
