ABOUT THE PRODUCER
We stand on the shoulders of giants, having grown from the knowledge and labour of others that came before us. The new team at On Giants’ Shoulders will continue nurturing the land and crafting fine wines that express Martinborough’s iconic terroir. Together, we–owners past and present–believe this change brings fresh poetic truth to Isaac Newton’s famous quote.
Wilco Lam, formerly chief winemaker at Dry River, leads the winemaking team as Chief Winemaker for On Giants’ Shoulders. Wilco is joined by Sarah Bartlett as Winery General Manager, Sam Rouse as Assistant Winemaker, James Pittard as Vineyard Manager, Mckenzie Smith as Machinery Operator and Michelle Mills as Vineyard Staff Supervisor.
We are cultivating a new obsession here at On Giants’ Shoulders. As we strive to reach our goals in this venture, we are extremely proud that we can draw on the experience, expertise and history of our well-established team.
