Patrón Añejo is handcrafted from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave and is carefully distilled in small batches at Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It's then aged in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey barrels.

This simple tequila Old Fashioned cocktail recipe is enhanced with sweet, oak-aged Patrón Añejo. Savor the slight twist of tequila instead of whiskey with hints of orange and bitters.

Glass - Double old fashioned

Garnish - Orange peel

INGREDIENTS

  • ml
60 ml Patrón Añejo
7.5 ml Simple syrup
1 dash Bitters
+ Orange zest

METHOD

  1. Over a double old fashioned glass, use a vegetable peeler to take off two strips of orange zest, making sure to express the oil into the glass.
  2. Add Patrón Añejo, simple syrup, and bitters.
  3. Add ice—the biggest cubes you can find—and stir.
  4. Adjust sweetness to taste.
