A special collaboration between Three Fates and luminary winemaker Gordon Russell, this Chenin Blanc comes from the Two Terraces Vineyard in the Mangatahi Terraces of Hawke’s Bay. Handpicked, foot stomped, and macerated overnight, the fruit was pressed to a mix of tank and an old 500L oak puncheon, letting nature take the lead.
Rich, full-bodied, and textured, this wine is packed with bold flavours of pineapple, passionfruit, honey, chamomile and grapefruit pith, with a layer of quince rounding it out. The 2024 vintage —one of the best in years— brings intensity and balance, with the skins adding a lovely mouthfeel and depth. It’s a Chenin Blanc that’s both vibrant and complex, with a nod to the wines of Vouvray.
The label, in bright yellow, ties it all together. The artwork is an adaptation of Fane Flaws’ “The Bird Watcher,” a piece that’s been a part of the Russell family home since 2004. A fitting tribute to the blend of tradition, family, and the evolving vision of Three Fates.
Three Fates
The Three Fates Story

Three Fates is the winegrowing and winemaking project of Holly Girven Russell, Casey Motley, and Hester Nesbitt. In June 2020 the group took on the farming of a small hillside vineyard in Maraekakaho, Hawke's Bay. With fruit quality and vine health as the focus, they were delighted to have a brilliant growing season for their debut.

In Greek Mythology the Three Fates, or Moirai, were the incarnations of destiny. They controlled the mother thread of life of every mortal from birth to death. They were independent, at the helm of necessity, directed fate, and watched that the fate assigned to every being by eternal laws might take its course without obstruction.
Hawkes Bay
Vines were first planted in 1851 by Marist missionaries and Hawke’s Bay enjoys a significant international reputation for producing some of the country’s best wines, red and white.
A relatively large and diverse region capable of producing a wide range of varieties to a very high standard, Hawke’s Bay is best known for its Red Blends and Chardonnay but aromatic whites are consistently good and Syrah is incredibly impressive.
