"Attractive pale straw in colour. Inviting aromas of roasted apricot with clotted cream, topped with hazelnut, toffee and cinnamon. An elegant Chardonnay which has great cellaring potential, balanced flavours of citrus, stonefruit and roasted hazelnuts. Soft on the palate with a crisp refreshing finish."
Unison Vineyards
Unison Vineyards is the pioneers of the Gimblett Gravels region of Hawkes Bay planting back in 1993 – back before it was designated to be the winemaking hotspot of the country. Now it is managed by Philip and Terry Horn who have continued the success of the stellar winery and stay true to the initial inspiration for the vineyard. It was the free-draining gravel soils that the founders of the vineyard were so attracted to in the Gimblett Gravels, as they had worked in Tuscany for many years prior and knew just how crucial they were to Chianti’s success.
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is without a doubt the most known and most widely planted white grape variety around the world. It is historically home in Burgundy where it produces a more refined, mineral and poised wines all up and down the Cote de Beaune and in Chablis. Throughout the new world it gained fame in both California and Australia where it is known to produce big, rich, buttery and tropical fruit-laden white wines.
