Villa Santera Primitivo di Manduria 2020
One of the two biotypes of Primitivo (a genetic cousin of California’s Zinfandel with shared origins in Dalmatis), Manduria is close to the sea and, some will argue, is influenced by the saline breezes. With the average vineyard age of 40 years this wine reveals a rich perfume of plum, black cherry, ginger and vanilla. Aged for 6 months in large format Slavonian oak it is full bodied, velvety and well balanced.
