Chateau Marcadis

Chateau Marcadis property stretches over more than 20 hectares in the Graves de Lalande de Pomerol wine- growing region. On this sandy and gravely terroir, the lovingly farmed vine is over 30 years old, itself a token of excellent aromatic quality.

Lalande de Pomerol wines are deeply coloured and potent, have an alluring bouquet and enjoy a fine reputation. The best can hold their own against Pomerol and Saint Emilion wines. From the early 1990s, the materials and techniques used for vinification were modernized.

The terroir, vineyard and grape varieties give Chateau Marcadis wine complexity and elegance, together with a capacity for excellent maturing over the years. The main grape variety is Merlot, ideal for this terroir and bringing roundness and finesse, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, which ages so very well, and Cabernet Franc for structure and a very rich bouquet.
