Chateau Phelan-Segur

Located within the Left Bank appellation of Saint-Estèphe, Château Phélan Ségur owes its name to founder, Irishman Bernard Phelan, who merged the properties of Clos de Garramey and Domaine Ségur de Cabanac, eventually taken over by his son Frank and renamed Château Phélan Ségur, with a second wine introduced under the moniker of Frank Phélan. This is a 70-hectare property, planted with 53% Cabernet and 47% Merlot on gravel and clay soils.
