"A lovely juicy number from Priorat here. Filled with a bunch of primary black and purple fruit flavours - to match the inky complexion of colour in which it has. Blackberry, boysenberry jam, raspberry, fresh red currants and coffee beans. A touch of leather and licorice mix with the baking spices on the palate. Delicious and fantastic value!"

Costers del Priorat are one of the new-wave producers of the Priorat region which are helping to give this fantastic region in the northeast of Spain a new life and really bring modern techniques to these wines. Costers del Priorat are one of the few producers in this region whom are producing single vineyard wines all of which are fantastic!
--------THE GRAPE--------
Grenache/Garnacha
Grenache is the French name, and Garnacha the Spanish, of this great red grape varietal. There are often heated discussions as to which country has the historical right to it but politics aside it is a widely popular and successful grape in the hottest of regions. Perhaps it is best known for being the lead grape in the blend of the wines of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
--------THE REGION--------
Priorat
Priorat is one of the most important wine regions in all of Spain. It is in the heart of the Penedes up in the northwest of Spain and is red wine dominate. Here the grapes are Grenache (known locally as Garnacha) and Carignan, usually as a blend. The resulting wines are rich and dark.
