Frankland Estate

Barrie Smith and Judi Cullam co-founded Frankland Estate in 1988 but their interest in wine had taken over their lives as a young couple. Before embarking on the starting Frankland Estate in Western Australia, they departed to France to travel, drink, imbibe and work a few vintages before coming back to Australia and start what is now a thriving, award-winning family winery. They are quite aware of the importance of looking after the land in order to get the best results from the vines, whilst they have long been a sustainably-aware winery it was in 2009 that the took the step and became an organically certified winery.
