Dates harvested: Sugar level (Brix): 22 to 24

Clone: Alcohol: 13.5%

8-24.March. Harvested by hand with rigorous selection

Able, Dijon 113/114/115/667/777, UCD5/6, 10-5, Mariafeld

TA: 5.2 g/l

pH: 3.67

Vinification: 84% destemmed, cold soaked for 4 to 10 days. Fermented in open

stainless-steel vats with pumping-over and hand plunging, total period of

maceration 23 to 31 days. Aged in French (20% new) oak barriques for 15

months. Unfined and bottled with coarse filtration.

Bottles produced: 2,091 x 750ml / 20 x 1500ml

Remarks: Very warm and wetter spring. A patch of bad weather at the flowering

resulted the very poor fruit set, causing 50% crop reduction. Summer was

warm/hot but regular cold breaks in February kept the balance of freshness &

ripeness. Some rain early March but the very dry month enable us to pick and

sort at our pace.
