A wine of stature, history and elegance.

A combination unchanged of mature vines, cool climate, ancient soils and elegant winemaking. Neudorf Home Block Moutere Chardonnay paints in intricate detail why this site has an international reputation.

Classically, notes of oyster shell, cashew nuts and gentle oak are gracefully intertwined and come to a crescendo of complex purity. Although powerful, Home Block Moutere Chardonnay imbodies restraint, poise and longevity.

Timeless.

This chardonnay is the sound of a Jaguar on the open road, the feeling slipping into a tailored jacket, the rush of a first date and the familiarity of laughing with good friends. It is in equal measure seductive, alluring, intelligent, modern and sophisticated.

Cellar with absolute confidence, drink with pleasure.

The Producer

Team Neudorf includes business manager Phill Lee, who handles finances. He is aided by Alison Hill, who looks after exports, samples & general paper shuffling. Mike Moody & Lynne Peter keep the place looking beautiful and the coffee strong. Baz, the vineyard cat can be found up trees, under desks and sleeping in the middle of the cellar door…. He’s the resident charmer.

Neudorf Vineyards is also a member "The Family of Twelve," a group of like-minded winemakers who have banded together to create a unique export marketing group. The twelve wineries are Kumeu River, Villa Maria, The Millton Vineyards, Craggy Range, Ata Rangi, Palliser Estate, Neudorf Vineyards, Fromm Vineyards, Nautilus Estate, Lawson’s Dry Hills, Pegasus Bay, and Felton Road.

We have known each other for years and share a concern about the trend away from wines of individuality and character towards the ubiquitous and amorphous “wine brands,” where individuality is too often a construct of the marketing department. Already this venture has proved successful and a whole lot of fun as well.
