Current Stock:

"A Bruichladdich single malt Scotch whisky (50% alc) , made with Bere barley, which has a much lower yield than other varieties. For the 2010 vintage Bere Barley Bruichladdich (a phrase which actually rolls off the tongue rather enjoyably), the barley was harvested from the Dunlossit Estate on Islay.

Floral honeysuckle and fresh curd tart with plenty of vanilla cream. A touch of oak.  A light, refreshing mouth feel with brown sugar, vanilla and lemon peels. Very subtle hints of sea breeze.   Clean, refreshing qualities continue through to the finish."

Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich (pronounced Brook-laddie), meaning 'bank on the shore', was built in 1881 on the edge of Loch Indaal on the most westerly point of Islay. In 2000, the distillery was purchased by a small group of independent investors (including Murray McDavid owners) who renovated the Victorian equipment and, in effect, turned the Bruichladdich distillery into a working museum.
