"Steel ageing results in a very pure expression of terroir. The nose is fresh and mineral, with grassy and citrus notes. On the palate there is a textural richness, which is balanced by citrus acidity and savoury minerality."

--------THE PRODUCER--------

Domaine Denis Race

Our four-generation estate, which nestles in the heart of the city, is planted with parcels of vines aged 2 to 65 years. The single chardonnay grape variety is grown on clayery-limestone slopes with Kimmeridgian fossiles, which, combined to best sunshine exposition, enables it to reveal its unique character in our first-range Chablis wines.

We now own 18 hectares, covering the 4 appellations on a selection of best-situated slopes : Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru and Chablis Grand Cru.

2 of the 3 daughters of Laurence and Denis have been working on the estate since 2005 for Claire and 2015 for Marine. Claire works in the winemaking and in the vineyard, while Marine in in charge of administrative tasks and also works in the vineyard.

It is historically home in Burgundy where it produces a more refined, mineral and poised wines all up and down the Cote de Beaune and in Chablis. Throughout the new world it gained fame in both California and Australia where it is known to produce big, rich, buttery and tropical fruit-laden white wines.
