This wine is made from Savignin (Nature is in fact a synonym for Savignin in the region). On the palate, it is nutty, dry, creamy with a rounded body, thanks to malolactic fermentation and barrel ageing. This is a non-oxidative style where the barrel is topped off with wine to ensure there is minimal oxygen exchange.

The Producer

Domaine Rolet was founded in the 1942 by Désiré Rolet. The children eventually took over the business, and the winery gradually acquired premium vineyards across all four Jura appellations: Arbois, Côtes du Jura, Étoile, and Château-Chalon. Their 65ha of estate vineyards makes them the largest family owned winery in the Jura. The estate only vinifies the grapes grown from their vineyards using sustainable viticulture methods.

Since June 2018, the Devillard family, also winegrowers in Burgundy and owner of the estates of Chamirey in Mercurey and des Perdrix à Nuits St George, together with the Flambert and Dupuis families have bought the Rolet estate. The wines produced are in the same spirit initiated by the Rolet family with a philosophy to maintain a style of typical Jura wines and the same conviction to meticulous work in the vineyard. The winemaker is Cédric Ducoté.
