Staring at the Sun was the first Momento Mori wine we ever tried and it remains just as captivating to this very day!
2021 sees a cuvée change to a blend of Fiano, Moscato Giallo, Vermentino and Malvasia, where each variety was separately harvested, skin-fermented, matured in tank, left to rest on lees over winter before being blended and put to bottle for a whole year before release.
This wine has all the hallmark traits of a Momento Mori orange wine; perfume, florals, musk, but has a concentration and intensity not like any of their other cuvées. Intensely mineral, steely on the palate, and a long, lingering finish.
