"I can't really get over just how plush and soft this wine is. It is just so comforting and what I wish so many more red wines were like. It is 100% fermented and partially aged in stainless steel - a minor revolt against the misuse of excessive oak use - which only gives this wine more softness and a fruit purity that is hard to find. It is juicy on the nose and palate with lots of red cherry, currants, and fresh raspberry fruit flavours. A bit of red plum juice on the palate with honestly the softest Sangiovese tannins ever."

--------THE PRODUCER--------

Tre Monti

It was in the 1970s when Thea and Sergio Navacchia decided that wine making was their destiny and passion. They quickly realised that in order to make this passion come true, they needed to partner up with some of the greats in the enology and viticultural fields across Italy. In walks Francesco Spagnolli and Vittorio Fiore who brought their joint enological backgrounds to this, now, top estate.

--------THE GRAPE--------

Sangiovese

Sangiovese is Italy's most important and widely planted grape varietal. Traditionally it is famous in all of the sub-regions of Tuscany particularly so in Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Sangiovese is planted in almost all of the regions across Italy where it makes everything from savoury and spicy reds to supple and black fruit bombs.

--------THE REGION--------

Emilia-Romagna

Emilia Romagna is a central region of Italy, just north of Tuscany. It is almost exclusively known as being the home of Lambrusco - the slightly sparkling red wine made from a grape of the same name.
