"A juicy and lighter version of Pinotage here. Cranberries, rasperries and red plums take the fore. Medium bodied with medium tannins but they are well integrated and smooth."

--------THE GRAPE--------

Pinotage

Pinotage is the red grape varietal of South Africa. In fact it was essentially created for South Africa in the 1920s by blending Pinot Noir and Cinsault. The idea was to get the lightness and aromatics of Pinot Noir and the heat-hardiness of Cinsault. Since then it has become the trademark red grape varietal of South Africa.

--------THE REGION--------

Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is the leading quality region in South Africa. It is home to many of the most famous estates and many of the top wines. Generally speaking it is a red wine hub with Pinotage, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon at the helm, though recently more white wines are taking over.
