This Old Particular Bottling from Ben Nevis Distillery is 12 years old and 48.4% in strength. The nose starts out with honeycomb and surprising notes of damp grass. Toffee and chocolate covered coconut flakes, which move into an earthy note makes for a balanced palate. The finish is long with notes of spiciness, poached pears and vanilla essence. This bottling is limited to 399 worldwide.

Douglas Laing & Co. was established over 60 years ago in Glasgow by Fred Douglas Laing, who set out to select and bottle single malts, primarily from single casks procured from distilleries right around Scotland. Today the company is run by the founders namesake and son Fred Laing and his daughter Cara. Not much has changed for the company, the focus is still very much on releasing a select number of bottlings each year across their range of Old Particular and Executive Decision.
