Description

A complex and deep aroma of brown sugar, stewed raisins, roasted hazelnuts and vanilla are joined by lighter notes of dry hay and floral hints. Full and fruity to taste, the palate is laced with cinnamon and clove spices, ripe summer berries and stewed apples. A touch of herbaceous mint lingers into a toasted malt and charred oak finish.

Douglas Laing & Co. was established over 60 years ago in Glasgow by Fred Douglas Laing, who set out to select and bottle single malts, primarily from single casks procured from distilleries right around Scotland. Today the company is run by the founders namesake and son Fred Laing and his daughter Cara. Not much has changed for the company, the focus is still very much on releasing a select number of bottlings each year across their range of Old Particular and Executive Decision.
